Engineering Team Manager - Financial Solutions

The Financial Solutions Risk team develops features that protect customers' financial interests and foster trust between merchants and their buyers. Our diverse and skilled team is responsible for building services that ensure a seamless and dependable experience from the moment a product is added to a cart until delivery. This position is hybrid, requiring presence in our Dublin office three days per week, reporting directly to the Financial Solutions International Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor and guide software engineers to excel, providing clarity amid uncertainty.
• Define team scope and recruit a well-rounded engineering group to perform cohesively.
• Drive career growth of direct reports through frequent one-on-one meetings and constructive feedback.
• Recognize and celebrate achievements to cultivate a positive and dynamic team culture.
• Regularly assess and optimize team productivity and operational effectiveness.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of local systems to inform architectural decisions.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to craft and implement effective roadmaps.
• Foster connections across departments including Marketing, Data Science, and Business Operations.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum three years managing a product engineering team with at least four engineers.
• Over seven years of professional experience working on large-scale application codebases with multiple contributors.
• Capable of effectively conveying complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders through documentation and presentations.
• Strong technical acumen to balance various trade-offs in product and engineering decisions.

The listed base salary ranges between €93,000 and €143,000, varying depending on relevant skills, experience, and location. Eligible employees may also receive stock options.
