About the Company
Advanced Metal Industries and Toho Titanium (ATTM) is a private entity in the materials sector, specializing in specialty chemicals. The role is based at AMIC TOHO Titanium Metal Company in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, reporting to the Superintendent of Reliability & Engineering.
Role Summary
The primary focus is to maintain and enhance the reliability and availability of key instrument equipment and critical systems. This involves assessing designs, refining maintenance strategies, analyzing operational data, and advancing repair methodologies to ensure high-quality maintenance. The role entails leading and coordinating Reliability Improvement Studies (RIS), serving as the main contact for RIS activities, ensuring RIS recommendations are effectively implemented, and tracking analyses to meet company reliability KPIs. Additionally, adopting best practices and evaluating emerging technologies to continuously boost asset reliability is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Document and communicate assigned tasks while ensuring timely tracking and identification.
- Review inspection work to confirm adherence to engineering standards with necessary assistance.
- Uphold stringent health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Engage with technical issues alongside stakeholders, providing solutions to complex problems or escalating when necessary.
- Monitor and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities within engineering functions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve unit-related issues with guidance as needed.
- Report daily activities to senior engineers and maintain records as per established protocols.
- Execute engineering tasks according to relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
- Prepare engineering documentation and plans under supervision from senior engineers.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrument Engineering, Control System Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
Required Competencies and Skills
- Expertise in MS Office and reliability-focused software such as SAP, Meridiam, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and organized work habits.
- Effective communication and coordination capabilities.
- Sound critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Competence in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Knowledge in risk management and project management.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and measurement techniques.
- Understanding of mechanical codes and engineering standards.
- Experience in reliability engineering and inspection/integrity engineering.
- Familiarity with damage mechanisms and fitness for service assessments.
- Inspection expertise in piping, vessels, and heat exchangers.
- Skills in welding inspection and operational change control.
- Understanding of process safety management and incident/accident investigations.
