Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Embryologist to join our Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) department in Dubai, UAE. This is a full-time position for expatriates within the Para Medical division.
Primary Duties
- Conduct procedures including IVF, ICSI, embryo biopsy, embryo transfer support, and cryopreservation.
- Process and assess oocytes, sperm, and embryos following established protocols.
- Oversee embryo development stages and maintain meticulous laboratory records.
- Adhere to laboratory quality control and quality assurance processes.
- Operate, calibrate, and ensure maintenance of specialized embryology lab equipment.
- Work collaboratively with fertility specialists, nursing staff, and fellow laboratory professionals.
- Implement aseptic techniques and ensure adherence to safety protocols within the lab environment.
- Engage in continuous improvement efforts and promote best practices within the ART laboratory setting.
- Participate actively in laboratory audits, accreditation processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in clinical research projects and support the adoption of innovative reproductive technologies.
Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Applied Science, Biology, Medical Science, Human Embryology, or a related discipline.
- Must hold a valid DHA (Dubai Health Authority) license.
- At least 5 years of practical experience in embryology or an ART laboratory environment.
- Demonstrated expertise performing IVF and ICSI procedures.
- Proficient in embryo culture as well as cryopreservation methods.
- Familiarity with laboratory quality management systems is essential.
