Role Overview
We seek a seasoned Electronics Test Engineer passionate about product verification beyond mere compliance with standards. This hands-on position involves designing and developing production test systems that influence product quality, manufacturing effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. Collaboration with R&D, New Product Introduction (NPI), and Electronics Manufacturing teams is key to ensuring new products are functional, scalable, and ready for production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and construct high-quality production test fixtures and equipment.
- Work closely with R&D and NPI teams to facilitate new product introduction.
- Ensure all test equipment complies with relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Provide swift factory support to troubleshoot test system problems, maintaining production objectives.
- Document updates for fixtures, test scripts, and Engineering Change Notices (ECN).
- Manage supplier relationships for sourcing parts and servicing test devices.
- Uphold safe and organized workspaces following 6S principles.
- Advocate continuous improvement initiatives for testing methodologies and equipment.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background and enjoys direct interaction with hardware, seamlessly balancing bench work, diagnostics, and teamwork. Critical thinking about test processes and improvement is essential.
Mandatory Qualifications & Skills
- Relevant Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience of at least five years.
- Demonstrated expertise in electronics testing, production engineering, or related disciplines.
- Advanced fault detection and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Practical experience in creating, adjusting, or maintaining test setups and fixtures.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proactive attitude with emphasis on quality and safety standards.
Desirable Attributes
- Background in supporting new product introduction initiatives.
- Knowledge of PCB design and electronics manufacturing workflow.
- Experience with test automation, scripting, or data acquisition systems.
