Role Overview
We are seeking motivated and skilled Electricians to join our Above Water Systems (AWS) team at Garden Island, NSW. Reporting to the Electrical Workshop Line Manager, you will perform a variety of electrical duties including preventative and reactive maintenance, as well as new electrical installations on naval and commercial vessels and within our electrical workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely utilize battery-powered, electric, and pneumatic tools and workshop machinery.
- Provide comprehensive assistance to your team across all tasks.
- Install and route cables on naval and commercial ships.
- Perform termination of fixed wiring onboard vessels.
- Install cable support frameworks onboard vessels.
- Conduct soft soldering for terminations within panels and junction boxes.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of an Australian-recognized Electrical Trade Certificate.
- Valid White Card for construction site induction.
- Current Qualified Supervisor Certificate (Electrical Licence).
- Ability to perform evening and weekend overtime as required.
- Comfortable working in a multicultural, multi-trade environment.
- Knowledge of safety requirements for confined spaces and working at heights.

- Pre-employment police checks are mandatory before employment offers.
- A Defence security clearance is required; applicants must be Australian citizens eligible to obtain and maintain clearance.
