At Entura, we highly value diversity and inclusion as key drivers of innovation and success. We invite accomplished Electrical Engineers specializing in Secondary Systems to join our expanding Secondary Electrical Engineering team and contribute fresh ideas.
Role Overview
This position involves providing engineering development and client interaction for designing and installing Extra High Voltage (EHV) and High Voltage (HV) protection and control systems within substations, power stations, and other electrical infrastructure. Our clientele encompasses electrical utility asset owners, renewable energy developers, and others.
Location and Salary
The role is based in Hobart or Melbourne with flexible working arrangements such as working from home or remote options. The base salary starts at AUD 119,000 plus superannuation.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates are experienced electrical engineers passionate about problem-solving and influencing positive change. Collaboration and mentoring capabilities are essential.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least 3 years of experience designing Secondary Systems for HV and EHV substations and related plants.
- Proficiency in both brownfield and greenfield design for protection, control, metering, and SCADA systems.
- Background working on electrical utility projects.
- Familiarity with protection relay configuration software and fault analysis tools such as PowerFactory and Aspen.
- Experience with hybrid off-grid power generation assets.
- Understanding of power system development and operational principles.
Additional Details
The position may require some local, national, and international travel to accommodate diverse client needs and projects. Flexible workplace locations include offices in Hobart and Melbourne.
