Job description
Role Overview
Booker operates the UK's only flexible multi-temp, shared customer delivery logistics network, providing comprehensive warehousing, picking, and distribution services to top food and drink brands nationwide. Situated inside the warehouse, the Driver De-Brief role is crucial to supporting daily delivery operations by managing the return process of drivers from their routes. This includes gathering and verifying delivery paperwork, investigating and recording any challenges or incidents, and ensuring data accuracy.
The role requires cooperation with various internal teams to swiftly resolve delivery issues, maintain meticulous records, and promote ongoing improvements within transport and warehouse functions.
Main Responsibilities
- Inspect and validate delivery documentation returned by drivers to confirm completeness and compliance with standards.
- Efficiently communicate across departments to gather necessary information for task completion within deadlines.
- Create, update, and distribute operational reports to pertinent teams, ensuring seamless information exchange throughout the company.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a systematic approach to work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively via phone, email, and in person.
- Computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work proactively and independently under minimal supervision.
- Motivated, goal-oriented, and enthusiastic about driving results.
Working Hours & Schedule
This position requires 8 hours weekly on Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with the possibility of additional overtime hours.
