Southern Milk Transport, their specialized fleet, is essential in transporting raw milk from farms to processing facilities throughout the country. The fleet features modern, specialized tanker units designed for enhanced safety, reduced weight, and improved fuel efficiency, emphasizing safe, reliable, and efficient delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of milk transport operations.
  • Assist with tanker cleaning, unloading procedures, and milk sampling.
  • Learn to operate heavy commercial vehicles under supervision.
  • Adhere strictly to health, safety, and industry protocols.
  • Engage in formal training and gain industry-recognized qualifications.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess a full, clean New Zealand Driver Licence (minimum Class 1).
  • If under 25 years old, the licence must have been held for at least six months; if 25 or older, at least three months.
  • Applicants with Class 2, 3, or 4 licences are highly encouraged to apply; higher licence classes are beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
