Job description
Overview
As the season approaches, CORDE is preparing for an active period and is searching for a skilled Drainage Foreman to lead a team focused on drainage renewal and new infrastructure projects within Selwyn.
Role Responsibilities
The Drainage Foreman will be responsible for managing a crew of three workers, ensuring daily site operations run efficiently and align with the project schedule. Key duties will include coordinating labor, equipment, and resources, handling all on-site documentation, supervising subcontractors and suppliers, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Candidate Qualifications
- Holds a relevant qualification in Water or Pipeline Construction.
- Experience working as a Foreman or Leading Hand within Civil Construction, specifically in drainage.
- Preferably holds CCC authorization or New Zealand registration.
- Possesses a Class 1 Driver Licence with WTR endorsements.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and train team members.
- Strong communication capabilities and effective time management.
- Capacity to manage and adhere to work program timelines.
- Physically fit with a committed work ethic.
- Maintains a safety-first approach along with a positive attitude.
