Job description
Job Summary
We are seeking a Document Controller based in Liverpool, England, to join on a contract basis. The role involves managing documentation processes adhering to standardized global and local systems within a highly regulated environment such as pharmaceutical or biotech sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to global document management system (DMS) administration protocols.
- Review document content to ensure conformity with established template requirements.
- Format documents and apply release criteria, including verification of necessary prerequisites.
- Conduct reference assessments to determine document obsoletion.
- Assist with periodic review workflows and generate routine reports or document listings.
- Support management and archival of both paper-based and electronic records.
- Follow local and global records management procedures to handle document requests and audits.
- Organize, file, log, and retrieve records from onsite facilities or electronic archives.
- Prepare physical documents for offsite storage, long-term preservation, or destruction.
- Reconcile documents transferred to or from offsite storage, and conduct periodic reviews of document trackers and storage sites.
Experience and Skills
- Between 0 to 2 years of relevant experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other strictly regulated industries.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and other software tools.
- Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Practice (GXP) standards.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities to collaborate with varied stakeholders effectively.
