OneSpan specializes in digital identity and anti-fraud solutions that deliver secure and exceptional user experiences. They are looking for a seasoned Software Development Director to join their India Software group based in Noida.

Role Overview

The Director will co-develop the strategic vision and lead software product development teams on site. This executive is accountable for delivery, performance, and talent management of multiple squads consisting of 20-40 engineers. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams globally to drive engagement, skill growth, and operational strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering efforts for the OneSpan Cyber Security Suite and cloud services hosted on AWS.
• Work alongside Product Owners, Architects, and DevOps globally to define scalable architecture, engineering standards, and best practices.
• Oversee software delivery ensuring execution quality and engineering efficiency.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and organizational development.

Thought Leadership

• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies for business impact.
• Shape technology strategy and prioritize engineering initiatives that align with corporate objectives.
• Establish and propagate engineering methodologies, standards, and best practices.

People Leadership

• Cultivate engineering talent and build results-driven, motivated teams.
• Develop organizational capabilities in line with future business and technology demands.
• Manage talent processes including performance reviews, onboarding, and workforce planning.

Results Leadership

• Ensure efficient delivery of product features and releases that maintain quality and scalability.
• Drive accountability for engineering outcomes using an AI-first mindset and encourage AI-assisted development.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant is a proactive leader with a strong problem-solving aptitude and a visionary outlook for organizational advancement. They must comprehend complex security domains, including protocols for identity management and authentication. Experience both in application development and in navigating the complexities of software for on-premise and cloud services is essential.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Between 15 to 20 years of experience in enterprise software and cloud service development, including 5-7 years in managerial roles.
• Proven leadership of product and cloud technology teams working with diverse technology stacks such as C++, Node.js, Java, ideally in multi-tenant SaaS/PaaS environments using microservices on AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud.
• Experience with container technologies and exposure to full stack development is desirable.
• Possesses strong emotional intelligence, self-motivated, and demonstrates technology leadership in complex and ambiguous settings.
