Job description
Role Overview
We seek an experienced DevOps Engineer specialized in e-commerce to join our team in Dubai, UAE. This permanent position offers a competitive salary in the range of AED 18,000 to AED 23,000 per month, based on experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in architecting, maintaining, and optimizing cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance of critical customer-facing platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and optimize cloud environments on AWS and/or GCP.
- Create and manage automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies for infrastructure management.
- Support containerized applications utilizing Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
- Develop monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions using tools like New Relic, Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana, or PagerDuty.
- Handle production incident troubleshooting, conduct root cause analyses, and enhance overall platform stability.
- Maintain and optimize e-commerce infrastructure, particularly Magento/Adobe Commerce or similar platforms.
- Manage CDN configurations, working with CloudFront, Cloudflare, Akamai, Fastly, or other technologies.
- Focus on cloud cost optimization, security strengthening, system backups, and disaster recovery planning.
- Investigate and implement AI-assisted DevOps, intelligent automation, and AIOps methodologies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Possesses over 5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, cloud infrastructure, or systems administration.
- Proven expertise with AWS and/or GCP production-grade environments.
- Prior experience in e-commerce or digital commerce platforms is mandatory.
- Familiarity with Magento, Adobe Commerce, CommerceTools, Salesforce Commerce Cloud/Demandware, Spryker, or PrestaShop is strongly preferred.
- Has managed high-availability, mission-critical, customer-facing systems.
- Skilled in CI/CD pipeline creation and container orchestration.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts including CDN, load balancing, DNS, and security.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a lean DevOps team and managing critical production incidents including outside standard work hours.
Additional Information
Applicants with backgrounds in banking, fintech, telecommunications, or other mission-critical technology sectors where system downtime impacts customers and business will also be considered.
Exceptional candidates may be offered Senior Engineer roles with enhanced compensation packages.
