DevOps Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with over 3 years of practical experience to design, build, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure, deploy containerized applications, and monitor production environments.

The role involves close collaboration with Architects, Developers, QA, and Integration teams to deliver secure, scalable, and production-quality applications within AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, deploy, and sustain CI/CD workflows using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
• Manage and oversee deployment and operation of applications hosted on AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments.
• Develop and handle containerized applications utilizing Docker technology.
• Provision and administer cloud infrastructure leveraging Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks.
• Setup and configure Identity Access Management (IAM), Key Vaults/Secrets Managers, networking, SSL certificates, and secure deployment procedures.
• Implement systems for monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Efficiently diagnose and resolve build, deployment, and live production issues by collaborating with development teams.
• Maintain clear and updated documentation including deployment guides, runbooks, and operational protocols.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 3 years experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Deep understanding of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven hands-on expertise with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Practical experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
• Strong Linux system administration capabilities.
• Experience managing Docker containers and their lifecycle.
• Competence in Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code solutions.
• Familiarity with networking concepts such as DNS, SSL, Load Balancing, Firewalls, and Virtual Networks.
• Basic operational experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities and support experience within production environments.

Cloud Platform Expertise

• AWS components used: EC2, IAM, S3, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch, ECR.
• Azure components used: App Services, Container Apps, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Azure Container Registry.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes platforms such as AKS, EKS, or Azure Container Apps.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, CloudWatch, or Azure Monitor.
• Experience with GitHub Enterprise including branch protection and CI/CD quality enforcement.
• Use of security-oriented tools including CodeQL, Dependabot, Trivy, or SonarQube.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Experience with identity management systems like Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), OAuth, or Single Sign-On (SSO).
• Exposure to enterprise software integrations such as Oracle databases, Kafka message brokers, RESTful APIs, or Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
