Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly capable and solution-oriented DevOps Engineer to enhance software application and infrastructure development, deployment, automation, and reliability. This role bridges the gap between development and operations teams, aiming to optimize delivery workflows, enhance system performance, bolster security, and ensure scalable, dependable technology environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, create, and sustain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software releases.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment tasks to improve efficiency.
- Manage and support both cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure and environments.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization.
- Drive continuous improvements in development and operational processes.
- Oversee build and release management activities ensuring quality and reliability.
- Introduce and maintain infrastructure as code practices for consistency and scalability.
- Manage containerized platforms and orchestration systems for deployment flexibility.
- Ensure system availability and security compliance; assist in incident management.
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA, system administrators, and stakeholders to improve delivery velocity and minimize deployment risks.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Deep understanding of DevOps methodologies, automation, and full software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with public cloud providers including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Practical knowledge of container technologies and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Preferred experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Strong scripting/programming capabilities in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or comparable languages.
- Solid understanding of Linux operating systems, networking fundamentals, monitoring, logging, and security best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Effective communication skills with a collaborative mindset and drive for continuous improvement.
