Role Overview

As a Deployed Engineer at Cognition, you will serve as a technically skilled liaison directly interacting with customers to maximize their success with Devin and Windsurf. Your role encompasses understanding client engineering workflows, recognizing impactful use cases, and enabling seamless deployment of our AI agents into live production environments. You will lead product demonstrations and pilot programs, assist with integration processes, and foster widespread adoption of our platform from within customer organizations.

This position demands a blend of hands-on technical expertise, strong customer engagement, and agile execution capabilities. You will handle a diverse portfolio of clients, adapt quickly between contexts, anticipate challenges before they escalate, act proactively, exercise sound judgment, and take full ownership of results.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the customer journey including deployment, activation, and ensuring successful utilization of Devin.
• Collaborate closely with customer engineers to grasp their technical challenges and identify optimal scenarios for Devin's application.
• Develop strong partnerships with engineering teams to facilitate smooth product integration and encourage active use and engagement.
• Constantly enhance the product by incorporating user feedback and personally driving feature implementation while advocating customers’ interests within the team.
• Leverage product insight and customer knowledge to influence and help shape the product roadmap.

Candidate Requirements

• Solid engineering background gained from rigorous technical settings.
• Proven track record of excellence in academic, professional, athletic, or entrepreneurial endeavors.
• Highly autonomous, capable of self-direction without needing managerial oversight to prioritize work.
• Excellent communication skills suitable for engaging with senior engineers and executives.
• Comfortable managing ambiguity, intensity, and sustained workload as situations demand.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the MENA region, approximately 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python or TypeScript.
• Experience in designing, writing, and troubleshooting real-world software systems.
• Interest in collaborating closely with users on consequential technical challenges.
• Aptitude for rapid learning by immersion in challenging, practical environments.
• Background in early-stage startup environments or roles requiring initiative beyond standard job descriptions.
