Position Overview

As a Delivery Driver based in New Plymouth, you will be responsible for delivering LPG cylinders safely to both homes and businesses across the region. This role requires a commitment to safety, physical fitness, and strong customer interaction skills. You will work primarily Monday to Friday, with an early start at 6:30 AM, finishing by 5 PM, and occasional Saturdays.

Key Duties

• Deliver LPG gas cylinders to customers while providing friendly face-to-face service.
• Use handheld delivery equipment efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure all health and safety protocols are strictly followed when handling dangerous goods.
• Perform physical lifting and loading tasks safely and effectively.
• Maintain knowledge of the delivery region for timely routes.
• Participate in company-provided training and wear provided uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Candidate Requirements

• Hold a valid Class 2 driving license with at least two years of delivery driving experience.
• Be capable of operating a manual transmission vehicle.
• Possess good physical fitness to manage heavy lifting involved in the role.
• Demonstrate careful attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Be familiar with regional geography and comfortable using handheld computer delivery tools.
• Successful completion of background checks including criminal record, ACC history, medical screening, and drug and alcohol tests.

Additional Information

• Starting wage is $30.90 per hour, paid weekly.
