Deli Assistant

Overview

This full-time position at Centra in Dungarvan, County Waterford involves preparing a range of high-quality hot and cold deli products with an emphasis on customer satisfaction as the top priority.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of HACCP training is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Prior experience in customer service is beneficial.
• Ability to operate effectively as part of a team in a fast-moving setting and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
• A genuine enthusiasm for food and the ability to engage and inspire customers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Embody Centra’s core brand values: pride, energy, creativity, and community focus.
• Prepare customer orders across fresh food sections including assembling sandwiches and rolls, serving hot food, and slicing meats according to store portion guidelines.
• Cook, prepare, and arrange the food items available throughout the day.
• Maintain high standards for fresh food counter displays consistently during opening hours.
• Showcase passion for quality food by sharing expertise, recipe ideas, and personal endorsements with customers.
• Handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally following store policies.
