Deli Assistant

Job Overview

This role requires preparing high-quality hot and cold deli products while placing customer satisfaction as the top priority. The position is full-time and located in Dunmanway, West Cork.

Candidate Profile

• HACCP certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Prior experience in customer service is beneficial.
• Capable of working collaboratively in a fast-moving environment and managing multiple tasks under pressure.
• A genuine enthusiasm for food and the ability to motivate and engage customers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Embody Centra's brand values of being Proud, Energetic, Imaginative, and Community-Focused.
• Prepare customer orders across fresh food sections including sandwich and roll making, hot food plating, and slicing meats using standardized portion controls.
• Cook, prepare, and showcase food items throughout the day.
• Maintain pristine counter displays in all fresh food areas consistently throughout service hours.
• Express passion for quality food by sharing recipes, recommendations, and knowledge with shoppers.
• Handle customer inquiries efficiently, professionally, and adhering to store policies.
