Job Overview
The Data Governance Expert will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing specialized data governance efforts, encompassing data architecture, classification, lifecycle management, IAM, and open data initiatives. The position ensures compliance with NDMO and PDPL regulations, internal governance policies, and stc Group data management requirements, while advancing data quality, privacy, compliance, and continuous operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining enterprise data architecture that aligns with business goals and stc Group data standards.
- Track and evaluate KPIs associated with NDMO and PDPL maturity levels, identifying and addressing gaps.
- Contribute to deploying and sustaining Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, frameworks, and controls.
- Apply data governance policies, standards, and guidelines conforming to both internal directives and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and accessible documentation of data governance procedures within centralized repositories.
- Support data classification and lifecycle management, including retention, archiving, and secure disposal processes.
- Coordinate open data management initiatives such as dataset selection, preparation, publication, and timely updates.
- Perform quality assurance on published open data and metadata to assure completeness and relevance.
- Oversee open data activities to ensure privacy and protection align with national data classification and privacy standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize open data releases consistent with organizational transparency goals.
- Promote awareness of data governance and open data initiatives in partnership with stakeholders and the Data Governance Council.
- Identify and recommend enhancements to data governance practices in line with evolving regulations, operational demands, and industry best practices.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Management, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proficiency in English at a fluent level.
