About the Role

We are representing a partner company based in Ireland that is seeking experienced Data Engineers to join their fast-growing technology-driven team. This spontaneous application opportunity allows skilled candidates to present their profiles for current or future openings focused on solving complex data engineering challenges.

The successful candidate will be tasked with designing and maintaining scalable infrastructure to enable large-scale data collection, transformation, storage, and analysis. Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines integrating multiple sources for data collection and processing.

  • Establish trustworthy and accessible data foundations that empower data-driven decisions and machine learning models.
  • Engage in resolving complex engineering challenges related to data processing, infrastructure, and large-scale systems.
  • Bring innovative ideas and share expertise to continuously enhance data capabilities supporting product innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience working as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused engineering role.
  • Proficient programming skills in Python, Java, or comparable languages.
  • Strong command of SQL and principles of data modeling.
  • Professional experience with cloud-based data warehouse platforms such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or similar.
  • Hands-on expertise with data processing and ETL tools like Spark, Flink, Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalents.
  • Familiarity with real-time messaging and event-streaming platforms, for example Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Robust understanding of cloud infrastructure and its integration within modern data pipeline architectures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical issues with scalable solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, proficient at working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment that values ownership and self-starting initiative.
  • Ability to operate effectively within time zones ranging approximately from GMT-3 to GMT+2.
