Role Overview

The position is for a Data Engineer specializing in industrial and refinery data, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity.

Key Responsibilities & Competencies

• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines handling high-volume structured and time-series data efficiently.
• Utilize SQL, Python, APIs, and advanced data modeling techniques along with ETL/ELT frameworks to transform and manage data.
• Integrate diverse data sources including historians, laboratory systems, maintenance records, asset and engineering datasets.
• Ensure data quality, manage metadata, maintain data lineage, and implement security and access controls rigorously.
• Leverage familiarity with feature stores, vector databases, or AI-enabled data platforms to enhance data usability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with data in Oil & Gas, refinery, or process manufacturing sectors.
• Exposure to platforms such as OSI PI or similar historians, LIMS, CMMS/SAP systems, and streaming data platforms.
• Capability to map and contextualize tag-level data in relation to equipment, process hierarchies, and engineering details.
