Through advanced technology paired with reliable local delivery partners, we ensure parcels are delivered efficiently from warehouse to doorstep, focusing on speed and cost-effectiveness.
Founded in 2015 in Berlin, our team of over 200 logistics and tech specialists collaborates with renowned clients such as Flaconi, Shop Apotheke, and Tamaris to shape the future of parcel delivery across Europe.
Role Overview
At Seven Senders, customs management is viewed as a competitive advantage rather than a mere obligation. We embrace innovation by digitizing and automating customs processes, and we are seeking a motivated Customs Operations Manager to lead this evolution.
As part of our Customs Team, you will be the key individual contributor responsible for ensuring our clients in the EU, UK, Norway, and Switzerland navigate customs compliantly, efficiently, and seamlessly. You will actively contribute to improving processes, making them faster and smarter.
Location: Berlin
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage customs processes, guaranteeing smooth daily operations for customers across the EU, UK, Norway, and Switzerland.
- Utilize our customs platform and automation tools for product classification and accurate calculation of duties and taxes.
- Coordinate with external partners including freight forwarders, hubs, warehouses, and customs agents, while serving as a liaison to customs authorities.
- Collaborate closely with clients to support and scale their business operations.
- Develop and refine processes, systems, and guidelines tailored specifically for e-commerce retailers.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in customs operations or customs process management.
- Solid understanding of export and import regulations.
- A genuine passion for creating innovative solutions rather than only managing existing processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluent German (C1+) and English language skills.
Additional Information
- Flexible Working: This role offers a flexible hybrid setup and adaptable working hours.
- Employee Benefits: Access to a corporate benefits platform and language courses in German and English.
