Customer Delivery Driver - St Rollox

About the Role

As a Customer Delivery Driver representing Tesco on the road, you will meet customers at their homes daily, delivering not just groceries but also exceptional service with a friendly attitude. This engaging role involves active, physical work with varied tasks where no two shifts are alike. While much of the day will be spent working independently, a supportive team of managers and colleagues at the base will always be available to assist you.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of your delivery van, trays, and work area to ensure customers receive their orders in excellent condition.
• Safely load the delivery van and perform thorough checks to confirm it is roadworthy, dependable, and ready to serve customers effectively.
• Communicate clearly and warmly with customers about any order modifications, substitutions, or products nearing expiry to maintain smooth and positive customer experiences, offering refunds when necessary.
• Handle all products carefully, treating each delivery as if it were your own to uphold quality and foster customer trust.
• Deliver orders punctually within the specified customer time windows, offering welcoming and natural service at the doorstep to make customers feel appreciated and well cared for.

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues to foster a positive team environment and deliver top-quality service to customers.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor both with customers and teammates.
• Adaptability to respond swiftly to changing customer demands and embrace change during deliveries and store operations.
• Must hold a full UK, EU, or EEA driving licence (manual or automatic) valid for at least 12 months without exceeding 3 penalty points.
