Role Summary

This on-site, full-time Counselor position based in Kottayam is focused on guiding prospective and current students through their course selections, exam options, and study plans aligned with their personal objectives. Responsibilities include consultation sessions, delivering information on test prep and language programs, assisting with admission processes, maintaining learner records, following up on queries, and offering basic academic and motivational support.

The Counselor also collaborates with teaching and admin personnel to ensure a positive learner environment, maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and adhering to IRS Group’s core values.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Expertise in counseling to understand students' goals and guide them towards suitable courses and exam pathways.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with learners, their families, and team members.
• Organizational skills for managing appointments, records, and follow-ups efficiently.
• Customer service orientation and relationship management skills to address inquiries and encourage learner involvement.
• Basic knowledge or eagerness to learn about major language exams and healthcare licensure courses such as OET, IELTS, PTE, German language, NCLEX-RN, and others.
• Willingness to work in an on-site team environment in Kottayam and adapt to a dynamic educational setting.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in education, psychology, counseling, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in academic counseling, student support, or educational consultancy is advantageous.
• Proficiency with computers and standard office software for record maintenance, communication, and basic reporting.
