Job Overview
City Centre Rotana Doha is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance professional for the role of Cost Controller. This role specifically focuses on collaborating with the Food & Beverage department to manage operational costs effectively and optimize financial performance.
Primary Duties
- Calculate the cost of recipes and menus provided by the Executive Chef, and recommend appropriate selling prices.
- Conduct spot checks on received goods to ensure adherence to hotel receiving procedures.
- Generate daily food cost flash reports and validate outlet void control sheets.
- Support major banquet events by attending and preparing profit and loss statements, along with banquet revenue breakdown summaries.
- Perform random inventory audits in outlets by reconciling opening and closing stock, accounting for store usage and sales.
- Monitor and verify complimentary bar order forms, Club Rotana Food & Beverage expenses, and in-room fruit basket costs.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must possess a degree in hotel management or accounting with a minimum of two years’ experience in a hotel environment. Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal, is essential. Strong knowledge of food and beverage cost control procedures and computer literacy are required. Experience with systems such as Opera, Micros, FBM, and SUN System is advantageous.

Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
