Core Planning Expert

Position Overview

This role emphasizes managing cloud core planning operations encompassing life cycle oversight, deployment strategy, budgeting, and the development of innovative monetization opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the management and progression of core network platforms including Voice, Data, Core control, Value-Added Services (VAS), Customer Experience Management (CEM), and Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), ensuring availability, scalability, peak performance, and alignment with strategic business and technology goals.
• Formulate detailed deployment strategies focusing on capacity calculation, traffic management, redundancy, resilience, and service continuity while preparing infrastructure to reduce disruptions during rollouts.
• Collect and assess business requirements from diverse stakeholders to align with corporate objectives, coordinating alongside technical and commercial teams to evaluate feasibility, dependencies, and timelines.
• Draft both annual and project-specific budgets addressing infrastructure, software, licenses, and operational needs prioritizing capital and operational cost optimization in line with organizational directives.
• Evaluate the technical and operational consequences of new business demands on network domains and allied systems collaborating closely with Cloud infrastructure, Datacenter, Radio, Transport, operations, IT, security, finance, and vendors to identify dependencies, risks, and prerequisites.
• Create and uphold a standardized cost catalogue for platforms, services, hardware, licenses, and operational facets to ensure transparent budgeting and investment justification.
• Calculate CAPEX and OPEX tied to new initiatives utilizing the cost catalogue and infrastructure requisites, delivering precise financial appraisals supporting executive management decisions.
• Identify and evaluate emerging network technologies and capabilities that open revenue channels or enhance customer experiences, partnering with business units to develop monetization use cases and assess viability of innovative telecom services.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Over 12 years of experience within the telecommunications industry, with a substantial focus on Mobile Core networks.
• Experience collaborating with major suppliers and Communication Service Providers is highly desirable.
• Competence in preparing deployment plans alongside multi-stakeholder impact analysis.
• Strong budgeting and cost analysis expertise.
• In-depth knowledge of 5G Standalone Core, Telco Cloud infrastructures, and security protocols.
• Familiarity with advanced technologies such as network exposure, network slicing, and autonomous networks.
• Ability to create executive-level reports, presentations, and dashboards combining analytical acumen.
• Proactive, responsible approach with excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills, alongside fluency in English.
