About the Role

Founded 20 years ago by a college student, this innovative cookie company has grown into a beloved brand with more than 350 stores worldwide, specializing in bakery and delivery services. As a Cookie Delivery Driver at our new Corvallis, OR location, you'll be the vital link between our bakery and our fans, delivering warm, freshly baked cookies directly to customers and representing our brand with a friendly face.

Job Responsibilities

  • Verify order accuracy and quality before dispatching from the store.
  • Deliver cookies, milk, and ice cream promptly and safely to customers.
  • Provide excellent customer service in person and via phone interactions.
  • Use the company’s delivery app to track orders and update customers on delivery status.
  • Navigate routes efficiently via GPS and adhere to safe driving protocols.
  • Assist inside the bakery by preparing, packaging, organizing orders, and operating the register.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards in the bakery.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure smooth and quick order fulfillment.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong time management and organizational capabilities.
  • Familiarity with the local delivery area within a two-mile radius is advantageous.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, current insurance, and registration.
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle background check.
  • Must own a smartphone with a data plan to use delivery applications.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States and be at least 18 years old.
  • Availability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands

  • Drive safely for extended periods during shifts.
  • Frequently enter and exit the vehicle and be able to stand or walk for long durations in the bakery.
  • Lift and carry orders weighing up to 30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Perform movements such as bending, kneeling, twisting, and reaching while handling bakery items.
  • Work in various weather conditions and noisy bakery environments.

Work Environment and Schedule

The role involves dividing time between the bakery's fast-paced, moderate noise environment with ovens and refrigeration equipment, and driving deliveries under varying weather and traffic conditions. Peak hours involve evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
