Job Overview
This position is located at Omar Al Mukhtar Street, Area 61, Al Dafna, Street #850 in Doha, Qatar, under the Food and Beverage & Culinary category. This is a full-time, non-management role requiring on-site presence.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare special dishes or substitute ingredients as needed.
- Adjust and regulate oven, grill, and rotisserie temperatures accurately.
- Remove frozen items for defrosting in refrigeration units.
- Ensure proper portioning, plating, and garnishing of meals.
- Maintain accurate food records and monitor food quality and quantity.
- Communicate assistance requirements during peak workloads.
- Report excess food products to the head chef for daily specials.
- Inform Food and Beverage service teams about rejected items and available specials.
- Maintain food product quality standards consistently.
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, quality standards, presentation guidelines, and food preparation checklists.
- Prepare cold dishes as required.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching; demonstrate exemplary behavior.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures; report incidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance and uniform; safeguard proprietary information and company assets.
- Anticipate and meet guest service needs promptly and professionally.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
- Cultivate positive working relationships; support teamwork to achieve shared goals; listen and respond appropriately to peers' concerns.
- Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards.
- Physical demands include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, stretching overhead and below knees, bending, twisting, crouching, and lifting/moving objects up to 25 pounds independently.
- Complete reasonable additional duties assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Diploma from a technical, trade, or vocational school.
- Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of three years in related culinary roles.
- Supervisor Experience: Not required.
- Licenses or Certifications: None required.
