About the Role
SRG Global invites a motivated and detail-focused Contracts Administrator to join our Utilities division supporting the McConnell Dowell SRG Global Utilities Joint Venture (MCD-SRG JV) in Adelaide. This is an excellent chance to engage with one of South Australia's leading water infrastructure initiatives, contributing to the commercial management of several civil construction projects while advancing your professional career within an established engineering and infrastructure firm. Your role will involve collaboration with an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator and the wider project team to efficiently oversee contracts, procurement processes, and commercial reporting. The position is mainly office-based, complemented by regular site visits, offering exposure to both commercial and operational facets of project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration of principal contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- Assist in drafting subcontract agreements and managing contractual correspondence.
- Monitor and track contract variations, claims, and time extensions under senior supervision.
- Prepare monthly client claims and other commercial reports as necessary.
- Participate in procurement tasks, including managing RFQs, onboarding subcontractors, and engaging suppliers.
- Maintain accurate and current contract registers and project documentation.
- Process subcontractor monthly claims with direction from project teams.
- Assist with supplier invoice processing.
- Support invoice reconciliation, cost allocation, and monthly accrual activities.
- Communicate effectively with subcontractors and internal departments to address commercial issues.
- Collaborate with project engineers, commercial staff, and site teams to support overall project delivery.
Candidate Profile
- 2 to 3 years of experience in contract administration or related commercial support roles.
- Background in civil construction, utilities, or infrastructure sectors; experience with water-related projects is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with subcontract management, procurement activities, and commercial project assistance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Workbench or comparable project management software is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities efficiently within a dynamic project environment.
- Enthusiastic and proactive approach with readiness to learn and develop within a commercial team setting.
