Job Overview
The Contract Specialist is responsible for handling the full range of contract-related tasks, primarily drafting and negotiating agreements related to Intuitive Surgical’s commercial and customer support operations. The role ensures all contracts adhere to company policies and legal requirements while engaging in projects to refine business support activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate various contractual documents including sales, lease, product loan, training, consulting, and sponsorship agreements based on company templates.
- Ensure all contractual activities comply with corporate policies and applicable regulations.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Marketing, Clinical, Legal, Sales, Services, Accounting, Logistics, and Finance to deliver consistent contractual advice and support.
- Maintain positive relationships with external customers and coordinate internal functions to guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Manage contract databases and lifecycle management systems to track agreements efficiently.
- Generate and provide reports related to contract status and revenue metrics.
- Oversee contract data to support revenue recognition and audit processes.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience handling contract reviews and customer relationship management.
- Strong interest in business, commercial activities, and financial operations, with a willingness to work closely alongside Sales teams.
- Highly detail-oriented and well-organized, capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the aptitude for independent work, multitasking, and prioritizing responsibilities.
- Fluency in both English and German; proficiency in an additional European language is advantageous.
Work Location and Schedule
This position is based in Freiburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, requiring onsite presence three days per week.
