Role Overview
The Contract Administrator IV role focuses on managing and reviewing complex contracts for industrial, commercial, and government sectors, ensuring compliance and timely administration. This position operates with limited supervision and may guide junior contract administrators while setting independent project deadlines. The role also involves assisting with negotiations, recommending outsourcing needs, and potentially leading teams as a subject matter expert.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and review contract administration and compliance for complex contracts involving multiple stakeholders and legal considerations.
- Work independently with limited oversight and establish project timelines.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior contract administrators (levels I and II).
- Support negotiation processes concerning contract terms and conditions with clients.
- Offer advice regarding outsourcing strategies and requirements.
- Act as team lead and serve as a subject matter expert in contract administration.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in contract administration, particularly on major rail or infrastructure projects.
- Extensive knowledge of FIDIC contracts and their practical applications.
- Proven ability in managing contract changes, claims administration, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Possession of professional certifications such as MRICS or PMP is highly desirable.
