Role Overview

The Contract Administrator will oversee the entire contract lifecycle, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal standards. This position involves managing contracts from initiation to closure, negotiating terms to mitigate risks, and coordinating with various departments to align contractual agreements with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee contract lifecycle activities including initiation, execution, renewal, and closure in compliance with organizational and legal requirements.
  • Analyze, review, and negotiate contract terms and conditions to safeguard company interests and minimize risk.
  • Maintain organized contract documentation using centralized management systems with accurate version control.
  • Track contract performance and vendor adherence, monitoring milestones, deliverables, and service levels.
  • Generate and distribute detailed contract reports and performance updates to stakeholders and management.
  • Collaborate with legal, procurement, finance, and operations teams to ensure contractual consistency with business goals.
  • Identify and resolve any contract disputes, discrepancies, or issues promptly.
  • Keep thorough records of contract amendments, modifications, and related correspondence.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams regarding contract terms, obligations, and compliance.
  • Develop and implement streamlined contract management processes and best practices for improved efficiency.
  • Conduct regular contract audits to ensure compliance and uncover opportunities for savings or enhancements.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience in contract administration, contract management, or related procurement/legal functions.
  • Proven track record in managing full contract lifecycle including drafting, negotiation, execution, and renewals.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract law, compliance standards, and risk management.
  • Proficiency using contract management software and document management platforms.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills to identify and mitigate contract-related risks.
  • Excellent communication skills for preparing comprehensive reports and documentation.
  • Experience working collaboratively with legal, procurement, finance, and operational teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve contract-related disputes efficiently.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certification in Contract Management such as NCMA or ACP.
  • Experience implementing process improvements and best practices in contract management.
  • Knowledge of vendor performance monitoring and Service Level Agreement (SLA) tracking.
  • Experience conducting compliance audits of active contracts.
