Role Overview

We are recruiting a Competitive Intelligence Analyst specialized in Data Solutions to join Qlik’s Market and Competitive Intelligence team within the Global Strategy division. This position entails combining profound technical knowledge with strategic market analysis to monitor competitors, pioneering technologies, and market shifts within data management and integration sectors. Your insights will assist Qlik in effectively positioning its platform against rivals.

As a valued strategic partner for sales, product, marketing, and company leadership, you will transform competitive data into actionable strategies, enabling sales success and guiding product development. This role is vital in maintaining Qlik's leadership amid rapid changes in AI, data platforms, and modern data architectures.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze competitors' products, pricing, market strategies, and sales approaches within the data management industry.
• Track market trends, emerging technologies, and innovation influencing the data ecosystem.
• Evaluate partner ecosystems to identify collaborative positioning opportunities with technology allies.
• Create competitive intelligence materials and sales tools that empower sales teams to effectively position Qlik.
• Conduct win/loss analyses to reveal strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities against competitors.
• Develop and present competitive positioning content for both internal teams and external audiences.
• Support strategic and tactical discussions with sales prospects and customers.
• Work collaboratively with product management to reveal competitive gaps and influence product roadmaps.
• Contribute insights to product messaging and marketing initiatives reflecting competitor and customer understanding.
• Utilize syndicated research and market analysis to bolster competitive strategies and positioning.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum five years in business intelligence, data integration, analytics platforms, or related technology sectors.
• Robust technical knowledge of data management systems such as databases, data warehouses, lakehouse architectures, and open table formats.
• Ability to interpret and condense complex market intelligence into strategic recommendations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and content creation skills using tools such as PowerPoint and white papers.
• Proven experience in generating competitive intelligence or market analyses that inform strategic or sales initiatives.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities, particularly across distributed teams.
• Familiarity with contemporary AI tools and their use in research and competitive analysis.

Location

This position is based in Sydney, Australia, with options for remote work.
