Join the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder as a Community Ranger and actively contribute to building a vibrant and sustainable regional city. This permanent full-time position offers a salary package of $86,477.26 for the Community Ranger role and $77,573.38 for Ranger in Training. Under new leadership and a supportive Council, you will help realize the City's vision of a sustainable regional future with a strong commitment to community care and quality employment.

Role Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols and respond to community inquiries to promote public safety and compliance with local laws.
• Manage animal control issues, including enforcement and education.
• Ensure a welcoming, clean, and compliant environment by issuing warnings, fines, and providing educational support to residents and visitors.
• Work collaboratively with community members and other agencies to address safety and compliance concerns.
• Maintain accurate records demonstrating professionalism and accountability.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant will have a background in community safety or compliance with an understanding of local legislation. Key qualities include excellent communication, interpersonal skills, sound judgement under pressure, keen attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and effective time management. Confidence in working independently and as part of a team is essential, along with proficiency in basic computer use.

Applicants must hold a current National Police Clearance and a Western Australia “C” Class driver’s license.
