Coffee Machine Technician

About the Role

We seek a seasoned Coffee Machine Technician to join our technical service team based in Dubai. This full-time position involves the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, preventive maintenance, and servicing of commercial and automatic coffee machines, professional coffee grinders, and related beverage equipment.

This role demands hands-on expertise with strong electrical, mechanical, electronic, and diagnostic capabilities, accompanied by a professional approach to customer service. The ideal candidate has proven experience with commercial coffee equipment and can independently solve complex technical problems while ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test, and calibrate commercial and automatic coffee machines.
• Service and repair professional coffee grinders and related beverage devices.
• Identify and resolve complex faults in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on coffee equipment.
• Troubleshoot components such as pumps, boilers, valves, heating elements, motors, sensors, flow meters, solenoids, and control boards.
• Calibrate parameters including brewing pressure, water temperature, dosing, grinding, and extraction.
• Handle emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine inspections and recommend required repairs or part replacements.
• Maintain detailed service reports, maintenance logs, spare parts records, and equipment history.
• Visit various customer locations such as cafés, restaurants, hotels, offices, and commercial facilities.
• Provide technical guidance on machine operation, cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting to customers.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers concerning technical issues, spare parts, warranties, and equipment support.
• Assist other technicians when necessary.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 2 years of practical experience servicing commercial coffee machines and professional coffee grinders.
• Thorough understanding of commercial espresso machines and automatic/bean-to-cup systems.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting competencies.
• Good knowledge of hydraulic and water systems used in commercial coffee apparatus.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment specs.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of working independently and managing multiple service tasks.
• Professional communication and exemplary customer service skills.
• Proficient in English.
• Willingness to travel across Dubai and other Emirates for customer site visits.
• Possession of a valid UAE driving license.
• Experience working with various international coffee machine brands.
• Relevant manufacturer training or technical certifications.
• Background in hospitality settings such as hotels, restaurants, cafés, or catering companies.
• Knowledge of coffee extraction, grinder calibration, and beverage quality standards.
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior technicians.

UAE-Specific Requirements

• Legal eligibility to work in the UAE.
• Preference for candidates with UAE experience in coffee equipment, hospitality, or food-service equipment sectors.
• Valid UAE driving license preferred because of frequent travel to client sites.
• Comfortable working across Dubai and other Emirates.
• Familiarity with UAE workplace health and safety standards is advantageous.
• Willingness to work in diverse commercial settings including kitchens, cafés, hotels, restaurants, and offices.
• Availability to respond to urgent repair requests and breakdowns.
