Role Overview

As a Coffee Bar Server, specifically a Starbucks Barista within our onsite cafés, you will have the chance to master the art of coffee and tea making while delivering personalized customer service in a lively, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, and standards at all times.
• Warmly welcome customers and ensure friendly interactions.
• Deliver excellent customer service following Safeway’s quality programs.
• Handle cash register transactions efficiently including payments by cash, cheque, credit card, gift card, and debit.
• Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffee and tea drinks.
• Manage inventory by stocking and ordering supplies.
• Perform light cleaning tasks as needed.

• Must be available for scheduling on Sundays (Alberta locations only).

Physical Demands

• Occasional lifting of items up to 45 pounds.
• Constant use of hand coordination and gripping.
• Frequent use of computer systems and points of sale.
• Regular standing and bending during shifts.
• Occasional walking and squatting.
