About the Role

Join a pioneering fund launching in the Middle East, backed by a regional family investment platform serving as the anchor limited partner and co-general partner. This opportunity involves launching and expanding a fund structured to reach $500 million through staged closings, with an experienced founding team boasting over four years of global fund operations ready to support growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Take charge of a live assets-under-management (AUM) sleeve, leading a dedicated pod within the multi-pod platform from day one.
• Be fully accountable for your pod's investment strategies, positions, and profit & loss performance.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of your pod’s activities, including research, strategy formulation, production implementation, trade execution, and risk management.
• Make informed decisions regarding model adjustments, scaling, parameter tuning, and risk mitigation; actively explain these decisions.
• Undergo a rigorous first 8-12 week evaluation of ownership responsibilities within established risk limits.
• Contribute beyond your trading responsibilities by assisting the CEO in manager underwriting, pod recruitment and expansion, infrastructure and risk system development, and supporting investor diligence and capital-raising activities.
• Participate in governance, including potential membership on the Investment Committee, as the fund evolves.
• Collaborate across multiple time zones, with flexible work arrangements and occasional travel required to maintain effective stakeholder engagement.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Proven trader with personal experience managing live trade positions, handling drawdowns, and making trading decisions.
• Experience in digital assets is favorable, with strong preference towards candidates familiar with equities, options, foreign exchange, or other traditional markets.
• Technical expertise as a software engineer with market insight; expected strong proficiency in Python, and valued experience in Rust or comparable systems programming languages.
• Deep understanding of execution systems, software design, and risk management infrastructure.
• Strong quantitative background in areas such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, scientific disciplines, or machine learning.
• Fluency and practical knowledge in AI applications, particularly large language models (LLMs) and coding agents, integrated into research and workflow processes.
• Highly reliable and communicative partner capable of meeting deadlines, explaining complex financial outcomes to committees, and resolving production issues collaboratively.
• Previous fund-building experience is an advantage.
