Overview
Heaven Institute of Renewable Energy (H.I.R.E.) is recruiting a seasoned Cloud Solution Architect to architect and deliver secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud-based systems. This senior-level position involves partnering with business stakeholders, engineers, security, DevOps, and technology leaders to develop modern cloud frameworks aligned with digital transformation goals and long-term IT strategies.
Key Duties
- Develop and design comprehensive cloud architectures in line with business needs, technical standards, and enterprise architecture guidelines.
- Create scalable, secure, highly available cloud solutions across applications, infrastructure, data, and integration levels.
- Recommend suitable cloud platforms, technologies, services, and architectural models.
- Architect and implement solutions using major cloud providers including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or other cloud environments.
- Lead initiatives around cloud migration, modernization, technology transformation, and optimization.
- Produce architecture diagrams, detailed technical designs, blueprints, policies, and documentation.
- Utilize cloud-native approaches such as microservices, containerization, serverless models, APIs, and event-driven designs.
- Collaborate closely with Software Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, Data, Cybersecurity, and Operations teams through development lifecycles.
- Develop cloud integration strategies bridging applications, databases, APIs, third-party services, and enterprise systems.
- Ensure all cloud solutions comply with standards of security, governance, availability, performance, and disaster recovery.
- Establish controls for cloud security, identity/access management, networking architecture, encryption, monitoring, and logging.
- Discover and implement optimizations for cloud infrastructure efficiency, resource use, system performance, and cost management.
- Support infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and similar IaC technologies.
- Provide expert guidance during software development, deployment, testing, and production rollout phases.
- Review engineering designs and offer architectural consultation to technical and project teams.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, dependencies, constraints, and architectural gaps.
- Chart cloud technology roadmaps and support long-term modernization efforts.
- Assess emerging cloud innovations and suggest solutions enhancing business value and operational efficiency.
- Mentor engineers and technical teams on cloud architecture principles and best practices.
- Communicate architecture proposals and decisions effectively to senior executives, technical leadership, and business stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrable experience in cloud, solution, or enterprise architecture, or similar technical roles.
- Hands-on expertise designing and implementing enterprise cloud ecosystems.
- Strong proficiency with at least one leading cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of multi-cloud, hybrid cloud, and cloud migration strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of networking, computing, storage, databases, identity management, cloud security, and infrastructure.
- Experience with container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes; Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform; and CI/CD, DevOps methodologies preferred.
- Familiarity with microservices, serverless computing, event-driven architectures, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Bonus: Experience with cloud data platforms, analytics, application platforms, and enterprise integrations.
- Expertise in cloud governance, compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Awareness of cloud financial management, resource optimization, and FinOps practices preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and architectural design skills.
- Excellent communication and ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience working within Agile, Scrum, DevOps, or hybrid development frameworks.
- Preferred educational background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related fields.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or TOGAF are advantageous.
