About the Role
An established and expanding accountancy firm located in Crosshills, near Skipton and Ilkley, is seeking an experienced Cloud Bookkeeper. This role represents an important opportunity for a driven individual to rapidly adapt within a busy setting and contribute effectively from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a diverse portfolio of small business clients by managing financial data entry and processing through cloud accounting platforms.
- Maintain clear communication with clients via phone and email as needed.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately within set deadlines.
- Efficiently organize and prioritize assignments to meet ongoing deadlines in a dynamic workplace.
- Provide support to senior accountants by handling bookkeeping entries up through trial balance stages.
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and other financial duties as required.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience preparing accounts for varied business structures including sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships.
- Proficient with accounting software, especially Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
- Ability to create precise and high-quality financial statements.
- Strong organizational talents with capacity to manage deadlines and perform under pressure.
- Self-driven with a proactive attitude and initiative.
- Effective communication skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
Additional Information
- Full-time, office-based position with working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Annual salary ranges between £28,000 and £32,000, contingent upon experience.
- Entitlement to 23 days of paid annual leave.
