About the Project and Role

The Future Generation Joint Venture (FGJV), combining expertise from WeBuild, Clough, and Lane, has been awarded the design and construction contract for Snowy 2.0, one of the world's largest pumped hydro schemes located in the Snowy Mountains, NSW. This significant renewable energy initiative aims to provide on-demand power and large-scale energy storage, leaving a lasting legacy in Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as an essential member of the housekeeping/Peggy team maintaining standards of cleanliness and comfort.
• Ensure accommodations are prepared with fresh sheets, clean towels, and sanitary showers for guest comfort after demanding workdays.
• Maintain hygienic, safe, and orderly environments including amenities, office spaces, and crib huts.
• Assist with relocating stock and parts around the site as required.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability with a positive, proactive attitude.
• Work independently or collaboratively within a team to meet deadlines while managing time efficiently.
• Maintain physical fitness to stand for up to 10 hours during shifts.

Required Qualifications and Certifications

• Driver's license is advantageous.
• Possession of a High Risk Work Licence (LF) is highly valued.
• White Card (General Construction Induction training) mandatory.
• Legal eligibility to work in Australia.
• Ability to pass medical examination and criminal background check.
• Current Hepatitis A & B immunizations.

Additional Information

The position requires enduring remote, challenging conditions often involving extreme cold temperatures, which candidates should consider before applying. Employment will be subject to Australian or New Zealand employment law. The project follows a 14 days on/7 days off roster with 10-hour rotating day and night shifts.

Housekeeping on this project extends beyond basic cleaning tasks; it creates an environment where residents and guests can fully rest and recharge.
