Position Details
Location: Kingston, Ontario, Canada
Shift Type: Full-time, Overnight (Sunday to Thursday)
Hours: 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM
Hourly Wage: $22.05
Role Overview
The Cleaner will ensure the building remains clean, welcoming, and orderly. Tasks involve maintaining common areas and washrooms, sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning glass and surfaces, and managing waste disposal. Additionally, upkeep of cleaning equipment and reporting needed repairs are part of the responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain communal rooms, kitchens, and washrooms.
- Sweep and mop all floor areas.
- Clean windows and dust blinds thoroughly.
- Dispose of garbage correctly and safely.
- Ensure all cleaning tools and materials are kept safe and sanitary.
- Identify and report any maintenance or replacement needs promptly.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and safe methods.
- WHMIS certification considered advantageous.
- Physical fitness including ability to reach, kneel, bend, and lift/push/pull weights up to 50 lbs.
Additional Requirements
- Successful completion of a Canadian background check is mandatory.
