About the Role

Join the team at Nando's PERi-PERi in Virginia Beach, VA, as a Cleaner/Dishwasher. This position offers both part-time and full-time opportunities in a dynamic and supportive restaurant environment. You'll play a critical role in ensuring customers receive their food and drinks on pristine dishes and glassware, contributing directly to their memorable dining experience.

Job Duties

• Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and pots efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dish room and storage areas.
• Assist with cleaning other restaurant areas as needed.
• Support cooking and basic food prep tasks when requested.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet and exceed guest expectations.

Requirements and Expectations

• Capability to follow directions and work well within a team setting.
• Remain calm and effective during busy, high-pressure periods.
• Commitment to delivering quality service and understanding food and beverage standards.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and proper food handling protocols.
• Basic proficiency in English and professional communication.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds independently over extended periods.
• Capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs, and transporting dishes throughout the shift.
• Must sustain walking or standing for 8 to 10 hours daily.
• Good hand-eye coordination along with capabilities for reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and overhead lifting.
• Must be able to navigate stairs in multi-level restaurant locations.
