Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cladder to join our team at Bullarco, based in Peterborough, Ontario. This full-time, permanent role requires working onsite in both urban and rural construction environments. The role involves installation, repair, and servicing of prefabricated exterior and interior building products. Candidates must be able to work at heights and handle physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Install exterior and interior prefabricated products accurately and efficiently.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to determine work requirements.
- Perform repair and maintenance on both exterior and interior prefabricated components.
- Plan and execute layout and installation procedures with precision.
- Measure and mark guidelines for installations; maintain and prepare materials and supplies.
- Load and unload trucks with necessary equipment and supplies for projects.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Set up scaffolding, falsework, and other temporary working platforms as needed.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum secondary school education or equivalent practical experience.
- Between three and five years of relevant experience in construction-related roles.
- Certifications including Aerial Lift and Aerial Work Platform, Certified Vinyl Siding Installer, Working at Heights, and Fall Arrest Protection Training.
Skills and Expertise
- Proficiency with hand tools and various construction equipment.
- Experience with aluminum windows and doors, overhead doors, eavestroughs, small metal building assembly, shutters, siding, and windows.
Additional Information
- Must have a valid driver's license, own transportation, and be willing to travel.
- Ability to lift and handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Own essential tools and safety equipment including steel-toed boots, hard hat, gloves, and a cellphone.
- Work environment includes outdoor settings, at heights, and requires attention to detail and handling repetitive tasks.
