Civil Site Engineer

Job Overview and Inspection Responsibilities

The Civil Site Engineer plays a critical role in on-site inspections and project management, ensuring compliance with company standards and client expectations. This involves conducting thorough evaluations of prospects provided by sales personnel, identifying issues on-site, and devising solutions that align with customer requirements and budget limitations. The engineer will collaborate closely with sales to relay all pertinent information needed to formulate the most effective proposals for clients. Additionally, participation in meetings alongside sales representatives is essential to bridge gaps between promised services and actual deliverables, aiming to successfully convert prospects into clients.

Project Execution Duties

Post-inspection, the engineer interprets project plans developed by sales and coordinates necessary arrangements to implement the plan effectively. Oversight and mentoring of the project crew are key, including guiding and disciplining workers to ensure seamless project execution according to the schedule. The goal is to minimize discrepancies between planned and actual progress, keeping variance within a 20% confidence interval. Regular communication with stakeholders is mandatory, requiring the preparation and distribution of daily site and material consumption reports, site closure and audit documentation for sales personnel, and up-to-date project progress briefings for clients.
