Role Overview

DesignBuild Search is collaborating with a premier civil construction firm in Ireland to recruit Civil Quantity Surveyors in Dublin. This role offers the opportunity to engage with major civil and infrastructure projects and gain experience under industry experts.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying.
• At least five years of professional experience in quantity surveying specific to the Civil Engineering sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement procedures.
• Skilled in using COINS, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Exceptional analytical aptitude coupled with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Possession of a valid driving license and readiness to travel to various project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and assess cost estimates, prepare budgets, and compile bills of quantities for various projects.
• Perform cost analysis and oversee risk management throughout project duration.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate precise and prompt procurement of materials and services.
• Track project expenditure and progress, identifying issues and implementing solutions.
• Draft and deliver comprehensive reports detailing the financial status of projects.
• Ensure all activities adhere to applicable regulations and industry standards.
• Support contract documentation preparation and manage any contract amendments.
• Carry out site inspections to review project advancement and provide accurate valuation reports.
