About the Role
Join a dedicated team in Gisborne delivering essential drainage and water infrastructure projects with Downer, a leading provider of integrated services across Australia and New Zealand. Key Responsibilities
- Install wastewater, stormwater, and drainage systems
- Lay pipes made of PVC, PE, and concrete
- Build manholes, chambers, and other related structures
- Conduct drainage maintenance, renewals, and upgrades
- Interpret construction plans and technical specifications
- Ensure adherence to site safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and subcontractors
Candidate Requirements
- Possess at least a Level 3 Drainlaying qualification
- Registration with the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board (PGDB)
- Experience in drainage and water infrastructure projects
- Comprehensive knowledge of drainage construction best practices and standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach
- Effective communication and teamwork capabilities
- Commitment to health, safety, and quality standards
- Hold a full Class 1 Driver Licence; Class 2 licence is a plus
