About the Company
Mahavir Polyplast Pvt. Ltd. is a reputed manufacturer specializing in PVC pipes. The company is expanding its operations by starting production of PVC raw materials and One-Pack formulations, aiming to grow its footprint in the PVC industry.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Chemical Engineer to lead the technical development and formulation efforts for our new One-Pack division. The position involves creating and refining PVC One-Pack formulations tailored for applications such as pipes, fittings, and profiles. The engineer will evaluate additives like stabilizers, lubricants, processing aids, fillers, and TiO₂, conducting both laboratory and production-scale trials to improve quality, cost efficiency, and performance.
Additional key duties include troubleshooting processing issues, approving raw materials and suppliers, establishing quality control standards, developing formulations driven by market needs, coordinating with production teams for scaling up, setting up R&D and testing laboratories, preparing technical documentation such as SOPs and formulation sheets, researching new PVC technologies continuously, and providing technical support to operations and customers.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
The ideal applicant will have a B.Tech or M.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Plastic Technology, or related disciplines, coupled with at least 10 years of industry experience. A strong practical background in PVC One-Pack formulations, stabilizers, additives, and compounding is essential, alongside a solid grasp of PVC processing. Experience converting formulations from R&D stages to commercial manufacturing, knowledge of PVC raw materials, and familiarity with PVC product applications like pipes and fittings are advantageous. Strong analytical skills, troubleshooting ability, and ownership mindset toward technical development and setup of a new manufacturing division are expected.
