Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Student Counselor to assist students in selecting appropriate career paths, courses, and universities within India and abroad. The counselor will support students throughout the admission and enrollment cycle, emphasizing a student-centered approach and utilizing strong communication and counseling skills.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide counseling regarding educational options, including undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and professional courses both in India and overseas.
• Assess student profiles including academic history, career objectives, and financial considerations to recommend suitable courses, universities, and countries.
• Assist students with completion of applications, statements of purpose, letters of recommendation, resumes, and document verification processes.
• Liaise with colleges and universities to obtain offer letters and facilitate admissions procedures.
• Guide students about scholarships, eligibility criteria, application deadlines, and start dates.
• Manage and convert leads sourced from various channels such as calls, walk-ins, WhatsApp, website, and social media platforms through sustained follow-up communications.
• Meet monthly admission and revenue goals.
• For international counseling, support students with visa documentation and basic interview preparation, coordinating with visa teams and operational staff.
• Maintain up-to-date student records in CRM systems or spreadsheets and generate regular counseling reports.
• Participate in events like seminars, webinars, education fairs, and workshops, and assist with both digital and offline marketing activities as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably in Education, Management, Pharmacy, Science, or Arts.
• Strong proficiency in English and regional languages.
• Excellent counseling, persuasion, and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen effectively.
• Comfortable working under pressure and meeting target objectives.
• Basic computer skills including MS Excel, CRM software, and messaging tools like WhatsApp.

Preferred Experience

• Background in study abroad consultancy, educational institutions, or coaching centers.
• Familiarity with admissions processes for the UK, Canada, Australia, USA, and Europe is advantageous.
• Experience catering to GPAT, pharmacy, or other professional course students is desirable for pharma-related roles.
