About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Team Leader to join one of our vibrant Cafés, where a dynamic and friendly environment awaits you. This role requires a strong commitment to exceptional customer service, a proactive attitude, and effective teamwork. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations, supporting the Manager in achieving business and financial objectives, as well as guiding, coaching, and training team members while exemplifying excellent customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily café operations in line with operational and safety guidelines to ensure everything runs efficiently.
- Adhere to and enforce food safety and hygiene standards rigorously.
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Take charge of opening and closing procedures and oversee the full operation in the Manager's absence.
- Recognize and reward team members who deliver outstanding service.
- Develop thorough knowledge of the café menu and assist the team in doing the same.
- Optimize sales by efficiently allocating team members to appropriate roles and times.
- Conduct Health & Safety and Food Safety training for staff.
- Support the Café Manager in coaching and developing colleagues.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance service quality for customers.
- Foster an inclusive workplace environment where all colleagues feel valued, respected, and safe.
Requirements
- Experience in hospitality, ideally with prior Team or Shift Leader responsibilities.
- A genuine passion for providing excellent customer service.
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety principles.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with colleagues and customers.
- Ability to multitask and quickly adapt to shifting priorities.
- Confidence to proactively identify and implement improvements in work processes.
