Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Café Team Lead for our Avoca Powerscourt store. This role requires five working days per week including mid-week availability and offers immediate joining.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain exceptional customer service standards across the store and appropriately handle customer complaints with escalation as needed.
- Manage cash operations including end-of-day cash counting, safe counts, cash drops, and use the Meridian system for accurate cash and safe data entry.
- Lead staff training and development ensuring all employees receive adequate instruction in till operations, coffee preparation, merchandising, HACCP, and food safety.
- Process orders following schedules for both internal and external suppliers, create purchase orders, and sustain strong supplier relationships.
- Act as a custodian of the Avoca brand, ensuring consistency across all offerings.
- Encourage innovation, support changes, and assist the team with implementing new concepts.
- Ensure retail visual merchandising meets Avoca brand standards.
- Maintain full compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations at all times.
Candidate Requirements
- Between three to five years’ experience in a high-end retail environment with direct customer interaction.
- Proficient barista skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strategic thinker with commercial awareness and a passion for retail.
- Outstanding customer service mindset with willingness to exceed expectations.
- Creativity and an innovative approach to problem-solving.
- Strong teamwork ethic; able to champion collaboration within the team.
- Flexibility to accommodate changing rosters and cover shifts in various store areas according to business needs.
